La nouvelle Kato clay

A cause des récents problemes pour conditionner la pâte Kato nouvelle formule cette dernière suggère la méthode suivante.

CONDITIONING KATO CLAY

Follow these instructions and you can condition your clay in no time:

1. While it is in the wrapper, place the package on a sheet of plastic or a
paper bag (you want something the clay will not stick to).

Pendant que la pâte est encore dans le paquet,placez-la sur un sac de papier ou de plastique. Frappez-la avec un maillet.

2. Pound the clay out with a mallet. The package will break, exposing some
of the clay don't worry about this. Let the weight of the mallet do most of the
work - you don't want the shock waves running back up your arm. Turn package
frequently.

Le paquet va s'ouvrir mais on continue de frapper en tournant la pâte le paquet a chaque fois.

3. Pound until it is just a bit thicker than the thickest setting of the
pasta machine. Remove the bits of package. Roll smooth with an acrylic rod.

Quand vous avez atteint l'épaisseur la plus grande sur votre machine a pâte,aplatissez une dernière fois avec le rouleau manuel.

4. Roll through thickest setting of your pasta machine. Reset the machine to
3 (thinner) and WITHOUT FOLDING roll through.

Passez la pâte a la plus large épaisseur, puis mettez le contrôle a 3 et passez y la pâte SANS LA REPLIER.

5. Smear clear medium on the sheet (it's also a clay softener), fold and
roll through. Finish by folding and rolling, adding clear medium if necessary to
soften the clay.

Ajoutez de la pâte kato liquide en petite quantité sur la feuille obtenue, pliez et passez a nouveau dans la machine. Répétez autant de fois que nécessaire pour avoir la consistance voulue.

Vous pouvez passer a l'épaisseur 5 pour aller plus rapidement.

Note: if the clay is especially stiff, reset the machine to 5 - the thinner
setting will speed the process up. Add the liquid in small amounts - too much at
once and the clay won't roll through the machine!
